Foley, Alabama Rally 2025

Unhitched RV park formally Johnnies RV park is located in Foley Alabama just a few miles to the Gulf Coast and other areas of interest. Unhitched has great things to do onsite. You can cruise down the lazy river pool, splash in their newly renovated pool, or enjoy a day of fishing in their fully stocked lake.

We plan on having a fish boil and several potlucks, sit by the fire pit, and play games in the evenings in the Lakeside Grill.   We will have several outings including visiting National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola to see the Blue Angels, Alligator Alley, Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo. Others may want to go to Ft Walton, Dauphine Island by Ferry, Fairhope  or Mobile, AL. Pick and Choose what you want to do.

Rally hosts: Debbi and Chris Carroll and Louise and Fred Delgandio

Things to do

We are planning on a some theme nights, happy hours, breakfasts, cooking and a craft class. We are lucky to have so many talented chefs in our group.

We will have sign-ups for some of the places if you would like to car-pool. If you have other ideas that you would like to see, email me at DSCarroll1@aol.com

Dauphin Island

The Alabama Aquarium and Sea Lab is an exciting educational public aquarium highlighting the four key habitats of coastal Alabama: the Mobile Tensaw River Delta, Mobile Bay, the Barrier Islands and the Northern Gulf of America.

Other places to visit Historic Fort Gaines and other places. Great area to get some seafood for lunch.

Alligator Alley

Alligator Alley, offers a self-guided tour with a walk to the elevated viewing platform, where you can see hatchlings to mature adults, relaxing, sunbathing, courting and nesting.  Make sure and ask them is anyone has ever disappeared in the Sanctuary?

Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo

Nice, small Zoo with lots of frisky lemurs and other animals. Lions, and tigers and bears...OH MY!

Fairhope, ALabama

Fairhope is a dynamic coastal town celebrated for its captivating vistas of Mobile Bay. Fairhope's French Quarter is the home to the largest crepe myrtle (Alabama Champion Tree) in the South. Relax in the beautiful cobblestone courtyard, listen to music and browse the 12 unique shops. It is about 20 minutes away.

OWA

Inspired by Southern small towns, Downtown OWA's pedestrian-only streets are coastal Alabama's destination for shopping, dining and entertainment! There’s something for everyone in Downtown OWA—including live entertainment.

Private Dolphin Cruise

We had so much fun on the cruise at an earlier rally. Most of the time was spent laughing. A few of us got a bit more water spray the expected. If you have not been on this cruise in the past... you may want to go.

Fort Walton

Experience history as you look out at the ocean.  Fort Morgan, famous for its role in the Battle of Mobile Bay. It was here on August 5, 1864, Union Admiral David Farragut ordered his fleet to charge the heavily mined bay.

National naval Aviation Museum and Lighthouse

Experience the magic of flight at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola! See over 4,000 artifacts and 150 aircraft representing Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard Aviation.

At Mobile’s USS ALABAMA Battleship Memorial Park, you don’t have to look very far to find heroes. From the Battleship USS ALABAMA to the Submarine USS DRUM and over 30 aircraft, the spirit of military pride is alive and well. Aboard the battleship you will be able to explore 12 decks.
